Photographing weddings has allowed me VIP access into the most impactful moments of people’s lives. As a photographer I’ve been molded and changed for the better, just by being present in the room. A wedding is surely a celebration, but it's also this symbol of two families coming together and sharing love for the couple. I often reflect back to my own wedding and family as I photograph my clients’ day, and feel all of those intense feelings again. Apart from the actual photographs I deliver to my clients, I think the best experience I can offer is caring about the couple, caring about their family dynamics and the symbolic details of the event. I’m someone who gives her all to every wedding, large or small, and I think that’s who you want in your corner throughout the entire process. As Randy Newman says, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”.
Most of the wedding day is documented in a candid way, meaning I try to be as unobtrusive as possible. From getting ready, to the ceremony and the reception toasts, cake smashing and ultimate dance party, a candid photographic approach is ideal. The formal wedding photographs are also where I specialize in gently and naturally posing my couples, to showcase their love in creative ways that match their personalities. The couples portraits are the evidence of your love story, and the images that will fill the walls of your home. My hope is that if you should encounter tough times in the future, that these formal photographs of you and your spouse bring you back to that moment, helping to remember the love you felt.
