A Rhode Island Wedding and Portrait Photographer. My goal when photographing every wedding is to leave my clients with a full story of their day. All the pretty poses with their families and friends are important, yes, but it’s those in between moments of laughter and excitement for what is, and what is to come that fuels my love for capturing weddings all these years later.
DeAnne Dillon and Dave Anderson have incredible chemistry. They are naturally calm together, always smiling, and their warm eyes hint at their deep connection. It’s as if they were friends their whole lives, and are now life partners. But wait! They HAVE known each other since childhood.
DeAnne and Dave were in the same circle of friends and even attended the homecoming school dance together. After graduation they each moved on, married and had their own families. But through a twist of fate, life brought them back together, some 20 years or so after they parted. And this time, it was evident they were destined for more than friendship. You can really feel the love and respect they have for one another.
Fast forward to a gorgeous sunny and warm afternoon in May, and DeAnne and Dave finally celebrated their love at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford, CT. The intimate ceremony was held on the patio overlooking a pristine golf course, with a large stone fireplace backdrop. The wooden vaulted ceiling of the patio brought an extra layer of warmth to the cozy space. This was a truly beautiful space and conveniently located next to the reception hall. After a heartfelt exchange of vows and wedding rings, the bridal party and I drove down the road to Harkness Memorial State Park. Eolia mansion provided an elegant and grand scene for formal photographs and is a photographer’s dream location. I often shoot at Harkness Park, but it was a most special day photographing DeAnne and Dave. Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding.
